Argentina surpassed one million cases of coronavirus on Monday

Argentina surpassed one million coronavirus infections this Monday, when the country’s Ministry of Health reported that in the last 24 hours, 12,982 cases were registered and 451 people died.

With these data, the country reached 1,002,662 infections since the pandemic began (the first case was reported on March 3), while the total number of deaths reached 26,716.

In the last 24 hours, 28,395 tests were carried out and 2,626,406 since the beginning of the outbreak, which is equivalent to 57,880 samples per million inhabitants.

After being concentrated in the metropolitan area of Buenos Aires in the initial phase of the pandemic, the virus spread to countryside areas, reaching cities such as Ushuaia, in the extreme south of the country.
