Argentina’s government confirmed the country will resume face-to-face classes in August in provinces with low contagion rates of the coronavirus. Small and medium-sized like Tucumán, San Juan, Santiago del Estero, Catamarca, Formosa, Santa Fe, San Luis, Misiones and Corrientes will reopen schools, according to Clarín.
According to the government, the return to school will be gradual, following health protocols. The last years of primary and secondary school will be prioritized, although other grades and years in smaller schools could be included in the return, says Clarín. In South America, Uruguay was the first country to reopen schools.
