Uber and Itaú Unibanco announced a partnership to offer 200,000 trips to healthcare staff and frontline responders in the fight against COVID-19 in the City of São Paulo, the epicenter of the pandemic in Latin America.
According to Uber in Brazil, these professionals will have trips subsidized on the Uber platform when the origin or destination is one of the city’s health centers.
The initiative will take place starting this Friday, May 15th. Professionals will be entitled to three trips per day with a discount of BRL 20 each, until the 200,000 vouchers are used up. São Paulo has 47,757 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus and 3,949 deaths.
