Bogotá considers extending quarantine for 3 months

Bogotá, Colombia’s capital, may extend its quarantine with another three months, mayor Claudia Lopez told in a televised interview on Monday, according to La Republica.

The mayor said that “Bogota residents and Colombians must mentally prepare to be quarantined for at least three months so not to have 10,000 deaths like Italy or Spain.”

“We have to prepare ourselves to be in quarantine, with the economy turned off, producing the minimum: food, supplies, health care and protection for at least three months. So here in Bogotá we are preparing for that scenario”
