The interim President of Bolivia, Jeanine Añez, tested positive for COVID-19. She has confirmed the diagnosis on her Twitter on Thursday, saying that she feels good and will keep working isolated.
As the pandemic spreads across Latin Latin America, authorities have also been confirming that they have been infected by the coronavirus. Besides the Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who tested positive this Tuesday, the senior Venezuelan official Diosdado Cabello also confirmed he has the disease in his Twitter.
Financial Times says that Cabello is regarded as the second most powerful man in Venezuela behind the President Nicolás Maduro. He is vice-president of the socialist party that has ruled for 21 years.
