Brazil is resuming trials of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine

Oxford University and drugmaker AstraZeneca are resuming in Brazil trials of their vaccine against COVID-19, which is one of the most advanced in development and regarded as one of the best bets to tackle the health crisis in the months ahead. Trials will be resumed today in Brazil, according to G1.

Trials had been suspended last week because of a possible adverse reaction in a British patient, but after studies the scientists thought the problem was unrelated to the vaccine.

After the resumption in the UK and Brazil, India is next in line and awaiting permission from its Drugs Controller General to resume the research.
