NFC payments without password will now have a limit of BRL 100 in Brazil

The Brazilian card industry decided to raise the limit of NFC (Near Field Communication) payments from BRL 50 ($9,32) to BRL 100 ($18,64) without the need to enter a password, according to Valor Investe.

The Brazilian Association of Credit Card and Services Companies (Abecs), said that the decision of changing the limit follows the global trend of contactless payments amid social distancing period to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
