Brazil’s Ministry of Health will buy “all available vaccines” from the Pfizer/BioNTech and Janssen-Cilag laboratories, from the Johnson & Johnson group, according to information provided by the ministry to CNN Brazil.

The Ministry of Health does not report an exact amount of doses, stating that this will depend on available stocks. “Number of doses will depend on how much pharmaceuticals will be able to make it available. But the intention is to buy all available doses,” a source close to the minister told the news outlet.

While Coronavac and Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccines have emergency use authorization, Pfizer’s immunizer is the only one so far that got the approval from the country’s regulator, Anvisa, for definitive registration in the country.
