Brazil wants to multiply by 10 the number of Covid-19 tests

According to the Valor Econômico newspaper, Brazil‘s Health Surveillance Secretary Wanderson Oliveira admitted this weekend that there will be no tests to detect the coronavirus for the entire population, but said the government is working to carry out up to 50,000 tests per day.

“We will not have a test for everyone. We will have enough tests to know the epidemiological reality ”, he said.

According to Oliveira, today the country has been doing around 4,000 tests per day, and the goal is to get to test between 30,000 and 50,000 samples per day.
