Companies from various sectors have announced contributions in cash and in health supplies to fight the coronavirus spread in Brazil. Adding only actions with disclosed donation values, Coluna do Broadcast, a column in O Estado de S. Paulo, calculates that around BRL 170 million ($30 million) were pledged. In addition to this, companies have also announced free distribution of cleaning supplies such as alcohol and bar soap.

At the same time, a group of entrepreneurs is mobilizing to increase the manufacture of pulmonary ventilators.
