Brazilian e-commerce grew 78% in July, says Mastercard report

E-commerce sales in Brazil grew 78% in July over the same month in 2019 and more than doubled in the average of the previous three months (May, June and July), according to the latest report from Mastercard SpendingPulse.

According to the survey, the pandemic accelerated changes in purchasing behavior. The total volume of sales in Brazilian retail grew by 2.7% over the same period last year.

The sectors that grew the most were: groceries, furniture, household appliances, pharmaceutical articles and articles for personal use.
