Isolation measures due to the ongoing situation of coronavirus made it difficult for truck drivers to find restaurants, tire shops and gas stations open to guarantee the continuity of cargo transportation in Brazil. To help the truck drivers, the Brazilian Ministry of Infrastructure launched two new features in the InfraBr app, according to Correio Braziliense.
The app now provides information on the functioning of essential services on the roads, such as restaurants, gas stations, workshops and service stations. The data is updated daily.
In Brazil, most of the cargo transportation is road based. Thus, truck drivers and small carriers are also at the forefront of the fight against coronavirus because they are the ones who transport food and basic products.
