Colombia extends quarantine but authorizes shopping malls to reopen

The Colombian government extended mandatory quarantine to prevent COVID-19 until July 1. However, to revive the economy, exceptions were added to this and may now resume operations, such as shopping malls, according to La República.

The media outlet informs that shopping centers have been preparing a protocol with all the biosecurity conditions to resume business.

Some of the sanitary measures that are part of the protocol were implemented from the beginning of the pandemic, because shopping centers have not completely stopped working, since the businesses that offer basic goods and services and that were included in the exceptions to the presidential decree continued to operate.
