El Salvador to donate COVID-19 vaccines to Honduras

El Salvador’s minister of health Francisco Alabí announced on Saturday that El Salvador will distribute 44,000 COVID-19 shots to six locations in Honduras.

The donation will be transferred to the Honduran municipalities of Nueva Ocotepeque, Choluteca and those of the Department of the Bay Islands (Roatán, José Santos Guardiola, Guanaja and Utila).

El Salvador said that the vaccines that the government will donate will not affect the immunization process of Salvadorans. The Central American nation began its immunization in mid-February and to date, more than 2 million vaccinated have been applied, as reported by LA Times.
