For the fourth time in a row, Peru extends quarantine; now, until May 24th

Peru will extend the national quarantine until May 24th, announced this Friday the President Martín Vizcarra.

It is the fourth extension of the compulsory social isolation in the Andean country, which has the second-highest number of positive cases of the virus in Latin America, behind Brazil.

As of this Friday the country has 58,526 confirmed cases of coronavirus, and 1,627 deaths.
