Gol improves sequential traffic in August

The Brazilian airline Gol showed improvement in August, on a sequential basis, as it tries to recover after having practically paralyzed operations in March due to social isolation measures to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

The demand for its flights last month grew 19.8% over July, while supply rose by 17.8%, with the aircraft occupancy rate at 79.4%.

In the year-over-year measurement, however, the demand for seats on domestic flights was 67.3%, with the supply falling 65.6%.

Considering the total numbers, the fall was even greater, of 71.8% in demand and 70.7% in supply, as Gol did not operate international flights in August.
