On Monday, the big tech Google has extended its coronavirus work from home order until June 2021. According to CNBC and The Wall Street Journal, the message was sent by the company’s CEO Sundar Pichai in an email to its employees.
“To give employees the ability to plan ahead, we are extending our global voluntary work from home option through June 30, 2021, for roles that don’t need to be in the office,” wrote Pichai.
Google had originally announced that a return to the office could happen in January 2021.
Many of the major tech companies have announced that their home office schemes will continue until the end of 2020, or haven’t determined a deadline to the return to the office.
