Google is publishing location data from 131 countries to show how coronavirus lockdowns are working. The firm is using troves of data it collects from billions of smartphones to show how people’s movements have changed as governments around the world issue social distancing and isolation measures.

Reports generated using this data will be freely available on a site called COVID-19 Community Mobility Reports.
