In Brazil, international air transport dropped 97% during May

International passenger air transport performed by Brazilian companies dropped by 96.85% YoY in May, according to information from the Brazilian Association of Airline Companies, Abear. The seat offer also shrank 95.68% on the same basis of comparison.

Flight occupancy rate in the month was 62.58%, which meant a decrease of 23.37 percentage points. In the first five months of the year, international passenger air transport has contracted 47.97% YoY in the country.

Air cargo transportation in the domestic and international markets fell by 52.41%, compared to the same month last year. From January to May, the activity suffered a reduction of 29.98%.
