Job losses are slowing down in Mexico

In July, the rate of job losses in Mexico are slowing, after the country’s economy shed 1.1 million jobs registered with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) between March and June.

The IMSS said on Wednesday that 3,907 jobs were lost in July among employees registered with the institute due to the coronavirus health crisis.

From January to July, Mexico lost 925,490 formal jobs, of which 71.5% were permanent positions, said the IMSS, according to Expansión.
