Latin America remains as the epicenter of Covid-19. In just over a month, the region doubled its deaths from 100,000 to 200,000: 70% of them in Brazil and Mexico, reports G1.
Last Friday, Mexico surpassed the United Kingdom, and became the third country in the world with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths with more than 46,600 lost lives.
Now, five countries in the world account for more than half of coronavirus cases: US, Brazil, India, Russia and South Africa respond for 58.5% of them, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
