Mexican manufacturers under pressure to resume US auto supplies

According to the Financial Times, manufacturers on Mexico and the U.S. could lead to a reopening of the cross-border trade in the next days. This applies not only to the U.S. auto sector, but also to the electronics and aerospace industries that depends on supplies made in Mexico.

The Latin American country said in a statement that is working with the U.S. and Canada, its partners in the USMCA free-trade pact, on a “gradual and cautious” plan to reopen the cross-border businesses in these mentioned areas. Almost 1 million Mexican workers will be directly impacted by the measure.
