Mexicans complain about growing unrecognized charges in credit cards

The National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services in Mexico (Condusef) has dealt with 7,671 claims related to operations with credit and debit cards from banking institutions through the online complaint portal, email or phone, according to Milenio.

Unrecognized charges grew 12% amid the coronavirus pandemic in the country and are the majority of complaints (52%). More than 26.5 million credit cards are in circulation in Mexico.
