Brazil’s first lady has COVID-19, but has no symptoms

First lady Michelle Bolsonaro has Covid-19, according to the test result released this Thursday (30). “She is in good health and will follow all established protocols,” says the note from the Special Secretariat for Social Communication, adding that she is being accompanied by the presidential medical team.

Michelle Bolsonaro, Brazil’s first lady, is 38 years old.

President Jair Bolsonaro has also contracted the disease. He announced the positive result of the test on July 7 and remained in isolation at the Palacio da Alvorada until last Saturday (25), when he said he was recovered.

Also this Thursday, the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovations, Marcos Pontes, reported he tested positive for COVID-19.
