New online platforms offering small merchants a sales channel are attracting a high level of registrations amid the coronavirus pandemic. Brazilian retailer Magazine Luiza has launched project Parceiro Magalu, and attracted 8,500 registrations until Friday, according to Valor Econômico.
EBANX Beep, a Brazilian sales platform that includes a feature allowing the sale of vouchers for products and services, registered 3,100 subscribers in less than 10 days.
Olist Shops has more than 3,000 active users. According to Olist, several market segments are looking for alternative solutions to help sales at the moment, from artisans to dealerships, small to large companies. Fashion stood out among its sales.
