Paraguay breaks new record: 89 deaths by COVID-19 in 24 hours

Paraguay registered 89 deaths from COVID-19 on Tuesday, the highest number to date, bringing the number of deaths since March 2020 to 4,978, according to the latest report from the Ministry of Health, reported Infobae.

Meanwhile, its neighbor Brazil leads the world in the daily average number of new deaths reported, accounting for one in every 4 deaths reported worldwide each day: 3,068. Also in Latin America, Mexico has been registering 756 deaths each day.
