U.S. White House will send 3 million doses of Johnson & Johnson‘s COVID-19 vaccine to Brazil, applicable in a single shot. The donation is scheduled to arrive on Thursday in Campinas, São Paulo’s state, reported The New York Times.
On Tuesday, the U.S. announced the distribution of 14 million vaccine doses against COVID-19 to Latin American countries. Americans have already given 6 million doses to the region before.
The Biden’s administration vaccine distribution is part of a pledge to donate 80 million doses by the end of June and it is a way of trying to prevent the advance of coronavirus variants such as P1, first registered in Brazil, said O Globo.
