The United States said it will distribute 25 million COVID-19 vaccines’ doses this month to mostly lower-income countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, South and Southeast Asia, and Africa, as well as the Palestinian territories. About 6 million doses may come to Latin America.
As noticed by The New York Times, three-quarters of the initial batch will be given to the international vaccine facility Covax. The shots are the first batch of a total 80 million doses U.S. President Joe Biden has pledged to donate to lower-income countries.
