Vaccination pace in the three largest economies in Latin America remains slow

A crucial factor for Latin America‘s economic recovery, vaccination against COVID-19 continues at a slow pace in the region. Among the three largest economies (not counting Venezuela), Brazil is the one that applied the highest absolute number of first doses (38.2 million). Still, proportionally the immunization campaign is slow: only 23.8% of the adult population received the first dose, and 11.80% the second.
